Peggy McBride is the artist/owner of the gallery. After managing the gallery at the Hambidge Center for 9 years, studying and writing grants at Penland, marketing for non-profits and even coordinating 60 weddings in 6 months...she decided to open her own gallery to highlight the many contemporary artists in the area as well as long distance artisan friends. Peggy also serves as grant administrator for the Grassroots Arts Program funded through the GA Council for the Arts  through its Regional Partner, Sustainable Arts Society. She is assisting in the research and development of utilizing the prolific kudzu vine to produce woven fabric to hopefully create products and enable a sustainable cottage industry for the region. Her experience in textiles for over 30 years yields a wide range of knowledge in the field.  Check out her articles in local publications including a monthly article entitled Finding Art (Laurel magazine ) plus features in Southern Distinction.
